Some of the better lessons are written by 3rd parties, there are some CIE authors that you learn to dread.īut it is a real challenge and not something you can breeze through and pass easily. Some classes will take you a few hours, some a few weeks depending, either way you need to do 3 a month to finish in 30 month time limit.

I am about 1/2 way through, in aprox 12 mths (with 6 weeks off during that time for work travel), average about 2 hrs a night and 4-6 hrs in the weekend. You tube, CELO videos, and a few good eletronics fundemantal books are recommended. You cannot rely on course material alone to get you through as it is not enough to fully flesh out some concepts or math. I called a tutor on the first lesson for some math questions, and he was very rude-never called back for help. Some of the material you cannot read critical numbers etc due to poor reproduction. The material provided is just so-so, some concepts are explained very well, where others are not, and can be very difficult, if not impossible. The course work can be very easy, to very hard. It does seem like they are trying to sell a used car, and the class I paid for in full is now several hundred dollars cheaper.
